Alice Nikitinová is one of the most remarkable young painters on the Czech art scene for the vigor with which she explores and celebrates banality, unskillfulness and commonplaceness of everyday life in its various aspects. Her paintings of primary colors and basic shapes portray simple objects such as empty plastic bottles, banana boxes or phone cards. She also likes to focus on absence and incompleteness which appear in the form of torn papers or empty pages depicted on the canvas.
